Sunday 21st July 

Hampshire Lightweights - Sussex by the Sea, post code for start point BN16 Hubert Parry's house in Rustington, West Sussex at 10:00 am for a 10:30 depart. Seafront cafe to seafront cafe, first stop anarchitecturally interesting East Beach Cafe then through quiet villages to Felpham and William Blakes cottage and the Loberster Pot Cafe. Sunday 4th August

Hampshire Lightweights - Tisbury Meander Ride, post code for start point is to be determined as the usual starting point is no longer available to us – please confirm with the ride leader.
09.15 for 10.00 SHARP DEPART. Fellow classic cyclists are invited to join this superb ride, it’s a splendid route through wonderful traffic free countryside, on mostly forgiving roads enhanced by a couple of majestic descents. You will go through the quiet un-spoilt English countryside at its very best, so come and join us on this friendly ride that takes place some miles to the west of Wilton near Salisbury. Lunch stop at a traditional English country pub with a varied menu. The brave will use single speed, but for the wise, the weak & the feeble we would recommend gears. Roberts Cycles Open Day (Charles Benjamin Roberts Memorial Ride)
Meet at Geoff Roberts workshop in Boreham Street, East Sussex BN27 4SF.
There will be refreshments and a BBQ, a Jazz Trio. Celebrity guests including Glen Mitchell, brazing demonstrations (try brazing a lug), bicycle painters and wheel builders will be in attendance, various Roberts cycles (some new, some vintage), and a commemorative item for attendees.
A ride will take place in the afternoon.
Early Roberts bicycles especially welcome and other south of London makes: Allin, Geoffrey Butler, Gillott, Higgins, Holdsworth, Shrubb...
Free camping (please advise me if you wish to attend and/or to camp - jsfc4d@aol.com), local B & Bs, and pub food all available nearby in this pretty part of East Sussex near Hailsham.

Hampshire Lightweights - Flower Pots Perenial midweek annual. Post code for start point SO24 0QQ The Flower Pots, Cheriton, nr Alresford, Hants, meet for lunch 14:00 hours depart. Come along and enjoy this social run around the peaceful lanes of mid Hampshire, with the usual tea stop at Alresford Railway Station (Watercress Line). Meet :10.30 Rusty Bike Cafe, Swainby, DL6 3EW for 11.00 start
DESCRIPTION OF RIDE: Jack Taylor ride at the Swainby Classic Car show and display of bikes.
Ride your Jack Taylor then display it on the V-CC stand on your return. About 25 miles loop around Swainby and return to view the many classic cars, motorbikes, and bicycles. An additional
shorter loop can be arranged for those who request it.

Annual Hurlow lightweight ride .
Start at and return to Hampton Pier car park. Western Parade, Herne Bay, Kent, CT6 8DL.
Free car park,toilets, set off 10.30 prompt. Coffee outward, lunch at Sandwich (app. 34 miles) choice cafes, pubs, or fish and chips and watch the boats.
Pre-1980 lightweights, any machines Bill Hurlow was associated with, other pre-1980 lightweights welcome, riders register at start with cycle details please.

DESCRIPTION OF RIDE: Around Hartlepool Ride. About 25 miles on urban roads, quiet country lanes and cycle paths, all within the town boundary. Suitable for roadsters with gears.

Hampshire Lightweights - The Spitfire Afternoon Special from the Fox Inn, North Waltham, Hants, meet for lunch 14:00 hours depart. Midweek trip through the lanes of north Hants, tea stop at Lasham airfield. Traditionally the ride to bring out your locally made Rotrax machines. Easy pace, 20-25 miles geared machines best. Hampshire Lightweights - The Section’s Twenty-First Anniversary Ride. Post code for start PO16 8ST Wallington, Fareham. 09:30 for 10:00 depart. Rained off in 2018, this exact recreation of our section’s very first ride will feature pretty lanes, quaint villages, and stunning views across the Meon and Itchen valleys. A hearty lunch will be taken at The Milburys, a historic hostelry isolated atop the Old Hampshire Ridgeway. Approx. 35 miles. Pre-’65 lightweight machines only please. Hampshire Lightweights - Fishbourne Closing Event. Post code for start point PO19 3QR Fishbourne Roman Palace, nr Chichester, 10.00 am for 10.30 depart. Expect a large gathering for this end of season get together, we use the trusted format for this easy sociable trip with lunch on Thorney Island and of course ice creams on Bosham shore.
